Great Jones Spa is raising funds for an incredible organization called GEMS that is dedicated to serving girls and young women in New York City who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking.  The Spa enthusiastically supports this agency that has helped thousands of girls and young women, ages 12 -24 to develop their full potential. We are committing the next few months to GEMS by asking our patrons to make contributions, large or small, through the GEMS website. The Spa will match every donation our patrons make, up to $5,000.
GEMS  is led by a remarkable woman, Rachel Lloyd, and is at the forefront of the domestic trafficking movement.  Rachel is the Executive Producer of the documentary Very Young Girls, which features GEMS’ work, and is the author of the recent memoir  “Girls Like Us.” Rachel and GEMS are the recipients of numerous awards and are at the center of a growing movement of celebrities, politicians and concerned people committed to protecting our children and offering services for housing, education, jobs, counseling and medical treatment.  As mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, and as husbands, brothers, sons and fathers, please join Great Jones Spa in supporting the work of GEMS—in large or small amounts—for ourselves, for our sons and daughters, and for the girls and young women whom GEMS serves and who are important to us all.
